The brilliance of 90s cartoons!
Feb. 24th, 2011 09:59 pmI'm not sure how I ran across this cartoon, but Warner Brothers' show Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs (or Animaniacs for short), which ran from 1993 until 1998, and did parodies of hundreds of shows and songs, as well as being quite original themselves.
Very educational, as well as being very entertaining.
The Animaniacs consist primarily of the Warner Brothers Yakko (the older brother) and Wakko (the younger brother), and the Warner Sister, Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third, also known as Dot (but call her Dotty and you die, apparently).
Opposite to them is Doctor Scratchansniff, the studio psychologist, and Hello Nurse, the studio nurse, in addition to several other annoyed characters.
I've spent several days browsing around YouTube finding highly amusing clips from the show, and have even found out that you can get the first three volumes of the show on DVD.
However, it seems that Warner Brothers is not interested in releasing any more of the series.
No idea why, as it was very entertaining.
Not even sure why they cancelled it, as it's so much better than the junk you see on TV these days...
