I've been enjoying solving puzzle games for awhile now, and I thought I'd share what software I use to play it with.
(I use software because you can get free variants for practically all puzzle games and some of them will actually generate random puzzles for you so you don't have to keep buying more puzzle books when you finish the last one(s))

For Sudoku, I use a program called SimpleSudoku, it's free, it generates random puzzles of varying difficulty, and it keeps track of the candidates available for each cell for you, which helps for the more challenging puzzles.

For "Killer Sudoku", I've recently found a free program that I'm still evaluating from Yoogi Games that's available here.
(I still haven't finished any puzzles yet)

As for Kakuro, I haven't yet found a software program I can run, let alone play, that is free (though I found a version for a dollar at a local grocery store that works okay, and it's published by Dorling Kindersly, a very reputable publisher, so we'll see how that works out.

I have yet to find versions that will run on my used PalmIII, though...

I also love Sudoku, and I have a program that works on my Palm Treo (might work on a Palm III)

Yeah it takes a while to generate the puzzle on my Treo too, but I don't mind. I'm pretty happy being able to play a random sudoku any time I want. ;)
