The house's internet connection dropped out Saturday afternoon, and wasn't fixed until late Monday, so I didn't have internet access for about two days! =0.0=

I couldn't check webcomics, email, forums, art sites, check documentation, or play internet-based games.

In other words, I was both bored to death and almost scared stiff that the internet would come back and I would miss it.

I don't have any secondary access to the internet at home (all the neighbourhood connections are secured, and the one that is unsecured isn't on all the time), and my internet access on campus will be on shaky ground at the end of the year.
(technically, everything associated with my university log-in will be going away, which includes my proxy access, my university email address, my secured wifi access on-campus, my computer lab access, and my university web-space. The last part is going to be the hardest, as I keep a lot of URLs and stuff on my university web-space. I'm looking into free alternatives right now, so we'll see where that goes)

While I have access right now, my dad needs to get his VPNs up and running again, so it will be fluxuating for the next few days.

Always have a backup plan for entertainment. When there's a power outage, I have books and a sufficient flashlight. And when I go on vacation soon with probably no Net access for two weeks, I'll take care of the quiet times with puzzles and a sketchpad.
