Isn't once in a week bad enough?

carlfoxmartenWhile I was on my first paper route today, I saw some idiot in a car run over a cat crossing the street.
Fortunately, there was a lull in traffic after the incident and I managed to bring the still-twitching body over to the sidewalk, but it was conclusively dead.
It's a bit much to take less than a week after losing our dog Rose...
In case people wonder, no, I did not get the license plate of the car that did it, nor did I notice what colour or make of car it was.
(though I did do a bit of crying on the rest of that route. I'm not sure I'll ever look at random animal deaths the same ever again)
