I've been off work for three or four weeks now, and have started to notice my mood darkening again.

I guess having a job that makes me money like that really helps ease some of my concerns, and getting out of the house on a regular basis gets me out of my parents' hair enough that I'm not too contaminated by their attitudes.

Part of my nervousness is a lack of money.
I noticed that when I was working and earning, I was a heck of a lot more confident because I didn't have to be quite so tightly aware of how much I was spending.
The other part is because I'm not doing anything.
Yet again I'm just sitting here, doing nothing, giving my mind too much time to dwell on unpleasant things, and it isn't doing me any good.

I think I was even sleeping better at night, even though I was getting less sleep the days I worked...

Only problem is that the job I was doing is only going to last about three more weeks, as they switch from door-to-door lawn aeration to door-to-door power- and window-washing.
I might consider staying on, but I'm not really sure I'd want to.

Other kinds of work I wouldn't mind doing would be retail (even for a dollar store would be easier than this), food service (just so long as it's a place I trust, like Tim Horton's), or maybe even temp work.
Something so I'm not just twiddling my thumbs...

Hmm, I've been ignoring this again, I see...

Right now I'm still delivering newspapers, but I've also picked up another job that I do on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a whole lot of extra income.

I'm doing door-to-door lawn aeration, and it's a very interesting, if demanding, job.
When we attended the information session about it we were told that the work isn't for everybody, and I definitely believe them.Details under here )

So, on the whole, I'm a bit more comfortable with myself now, but it seems to have come at the expense of some of my health.

One the way to the bus stop that the more frequent bus passes, there is a newspaper box for a daily newspaper.
Every day that I use that bus I pick up a copy of the paper to read as I travel.

Today, however, someone seems to have kicked the door in on it so nobody can get a paper from it.

I tried to gently pull the door out so I could get a paper from there, but couldn't as it was too stuck.
Further, it even bit me on the knuckle, causing a fair amount of bleeding.

Fortunately, this box was right beside a convenience store so I could buy some bandages and stop the bleeding.
Unfortunately, due to being almost late for class, I didn't have any time to check the wound to make sure it was otherwise fine.
This meant that it took me three hours from the time I was injured to when I was checked over.
(one hour travel time, two hour class)

Now I know where the Health Services office is on campus...

My wound was checked over, and deemed not infected, though (as I don't think I've had any shots, at least in a long while) I was advised to have my Tetanus shots updated.
There are a couple of walk-in clinics within walking distance, so I should probably at least have a look...

No, it's not a cold (though it could have been, if I'd given it a chance), though it's just as annoying.

My brother and I replaced the Games Shelves with another one that was sturdier and less likely to fall apart if it got wet.
(particle board'll do that to you if you're not careful, you know)

Most of the games and puzzles on the shelves haven't been moved or vacuumed since we moved in here about nine years ago, so a fair amount of dust had collected.

Unfortunately, dust and I don't get along very well, and we forgot to open some windows and leave an air filter on while we were working, so now I've got some dust in my system again and am coughing a bit.
It's not quite as bad as when it had been when we started, but it's definitely still there.

I think that if somebody who didn't know me very well heard me, they'd probably think I was asthmatic or something...

Right now I have the air filter/ionizer running to help clear the air and am drinking water to help clear my throat, so we'll see what happens.
Maybe a good-night's sleep will help...

Incidentally, if anybody has a suggestion, comment, or idea that could be used to help design Kathy's website, I'm interested in hearing it.

Current status: About half-done the main page and about the same on the archive pages, with many other pages to go.
(though the other pages won't be too much different from the main page, but each will need to be tuned by hand)
